Finish reading "The Bet"
Write a two page essay on how you would spend the time if you were in solitary confinement. How might this experience change you? Would it be for the better or for the worse and why?
Thursday, August 21st:
Read Anton Chekhov's biography
Break into groups, choose two questions to answer about the story plus questions #9.
Discuss the questions. Make sure you support your ideas with evidence from the text. Write down the group's consensus.
Friday, August 23rd:
Turn in your vocabulary homework.
Begin presenting your group's answers to the questions.
